As an avid rider I have always dreamed of seeing the Tour de France. With generous retirement gifts from family, friends and former colleagues we were finally able to see two days of the tour. At the Stage 5 event our VIP section was positioned 25 meters from the finish line. We snacked on some great food including duck breast & peach skewers along with some wonderful berry & banana sorbet prepared to order on a frozen shelf. We also got to cheer on the sprinters as they did their thing and flew past us to the finish (see our sprint post in the videos section).

Stage 6 started out with exclusive access to the Tour de France village where we had a wonderful continental breakfast and were able to walk the team staging area as riders were doing final preparations, equipment adjustments and team sign ins at the podium.

We then took off with our tour ambassador guide for the day to drive the Stage 6 route and witness some of the incredible climbs that the riders faced as they made their way up the Pyrenees. Our drive ended in La Mongie where we got to witness the race riders in the final kilometers of their climb on the monster 17.1km stretch of the Col du Tourmalet.

It was another epic day win for Pogacar as he beat out Vingegaard to take the yellow jersey in Gavarnie-Gedre.

What an incredible two days on the Tour it has been. The energy of the cycling fans, the riders and all the people of France that work so hard to put this event together was something special to see and we'll never forget it!
